LEGO Ideas 21371 Wallace & Gromit Launches 1 October, Arriving in Aardman's 50th Anniversary Year

LEGO Ideas has officially revealed 21371 Wallace & Gromit, going on sale 1 October 2026, with pre-orders open now at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores. At 1,038 pieces and rated 18+, it is the tenth Ideas release of 2026 and lands squarely in Aardman's 50th anniversary year.

The model recreates the famous motorcycle-and-sidecar scene from Wallace & Gromit: A Close Shave - Wallace at the handlebars, Gromit riding alongside looking suitably long-suffering. Both figures are poseable and the wheels roll. Accessories include crackers, a ball of wool, and a diamond tucked inside the motorbike seat hatch, all lifted directly from the film.

Pidelium's Grand Prize-winning entry in LEGO's '90s Throwback - The Next Chapter' Ideas fan challenge made it to production with remarkable fidelity. Both characters carry the rounded, tactile quality of Aardman's stop-motion aesthetic, with softer curves where you'd normally expect hard LEGO geometry. Gromit is particularly well-realised - his magnifying-glass goggles and floppy ears both make it into the final model, and his eyes use a brand-new printed small dome element developed specifically for this set.

One notable absence: the sidecar-to-plane conversion, among A Close Shave's most memorable moments, is not replicated here. Given the build complexity, it is understandable, though fans of the short will feel it.

Pricing across the main markets is £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99. At roughly 8.7p per piece in the UK and 10 cents in the US, it sits comfortably within the expected range for a licensed Ideas set at this scale.

Good Wallace & Gromit merchandise has always been thin on the ground, and early community reaction has been overwhelmingly positive, with builders repeatedly noting how closely the finished set tracks Pidelium's original submission.
