Wallace & Gromit

A celebration of Aardman's beloved claymation duo, capturing Wallace and Gromit astride their red motorbike and sidecar from the Academy Award-winning 1995 short film A Close Shave. Built from 1,038 pieces, this LEGO Ideas set stands over 23 cm tall, 23 cm long and 18 cm wide, designed for display by builders aged 18 and up.

Both characters are fully poseable and packed with personality. Gromit wears goggles fashioned from LEGO magnifying glasses, with his hat straps lifted as though flapping in the wind. His eyes use a first-of-its-kind printed small dome element, developed specifically for this set to faithfully reproduce the rounded look of Park's original plasticine models. Wallace sits behind on the motorbike, grinning as ever, ready for another grand day out.

The motorbike's wheels spin freely, and the seat hatch opens to reveal a stash of Easter eggs referencing classic storylines: Wallace's beloved crackers, a ball of yarn from A Close Shave, and the diamond from the same film. The sidecar detaches from the motorcycle for alternate display options.

Originally conceived by fan designer Pidelium, the set won the LEGO Ideas "90s Throwback - The Next Chapter" challenge before being refined for production by LEGO designers Tom Gerardin and Ellen Bowley. Wallace and Gromit have appeared in four short films and one feature, collecting three Academy Awards and seven BAFTAs along the way, making them one of British animation's most decorated creations.
