LEGO's May the 4th UCS Set is Mando's Modified N-1 Starfighter

LEGO has announced The Mandalorian's N-1 Starfighter (75442) as this year's Ultimate Collector Series May the 4th release. The 1,809-piece set launches May 1st for $249.99, which translates to £229.99 on the UK store..

This is the customised Naboo starfighter from The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian Season 3 - the one Mando flies after his Razor Crest gets blown up. The set includes minifigures of the Mandalorian and Grogu, plus the usual UCS display stand with information plaques.

The N-1 is a sleek design that should translate well to LEGO - those flowing curves and the distinctive split-engine configuration give builders something genuinely different from the usual Star Wars offerings.

For Mandalorian fans who've been waiting for a proper UCS treatment of Mando's ride, this fills that gap nicely. The timing makes sense given how central this ship became to the later seasons, though I suspect many will be hoping for a UCS Razor Crest down the line.
