Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon's Tale

A 3,745-piece adventure unfolds across three interconnected builds: a tavern, tower and dungeon that together measure over 48 cm high, 37 cm wide and 30 cm deep. This marks the first official LEGO set based in the Forgotten Realms, featuring the posable red dragon Cinderhowl as the centrepiece threat alongside classic D&D monsters including an owlbear and beholder.

The set includes five detailed minifigures representing core D&D character classes: an elf wizard, dwarf cleric, gnome fighter, orc rogue and the dragonborn Alax Jadescales. Each build contains hidden magic items and Easter eggs to discover, along with mechanical traps that activate as adventurers explore the interconnected structures.

Campaign Integration

Wizards of the Coast collaborated on a downloadable campaign specifically designed around this set, allowing players to use the physical builds as battle maps and scenery for their tabletop sessions. The modular construction enables different room configurations for varied gameplay scenarios.

Collaborative Building

Four separate instruction booklets cover different sections of the build, designed to allow multiple people to construct portions simultaneously. The booklets include interviews with the original fan designer who submitted this concept through the LEGO Ideas platform, where it gained the community votes needed for official production.
