LEGO's New Fantastic Four H.E.R.B.I.E. Robot - Worth the Wait?
Remember H.E.R.B.I.E., the floating robot from the Fantastic Four comics? LEGO's bringing him to life this August with set 76339 The Fantastic Four H.E.R.B.I.E., and it's already up for pre-order on the official shop. This 747-piece build recreates the character Stan Lee and Jack Kirby introduced back in 1978.

The finished model stands 23cm tall and 15cm wide, with moveable eyes that rotate when you turn his head. His articulated arms can hold the included teacup and screwdriver accessories, which store inside his belly compartment when not in use.

At £69.99, you're looking at about 9p per piece - reasonable territory for a licensed Marvel set. The build captures H.E.R.B.I.E.'s distinctive floating pose well, though it's a shame LEGO didn't include a minifigure version of the robot alongside the larger model.

This feels like one for the display shelf rather than active play. Adult Marvel fans will appreciate the comic book nostalgia, especially with the upcoming Fantastic Four: First Steps film keeping the character relevant.

For kids, the interactive features might hold interest, but there's not much story potential here compared to a full superhero set with vehicles and villains. The set launches 1st August 2026, giving you plenty of time to decide if this particular piece of Marvel history deserves a spot in your collection.
