LEGO Jurassic World 2026: New Baby Dinosaur Sets for Younger Builders
LEGO has added another baby dinosaur to its Jurassic World collection with 77977 Baby Dinosaur: Pteranodon. The flying reptile joins existing baby dinos including 76970 Baby Dinosaur Dolores: Aquilops (£24.99), 76962 Baby Bumpy: Ankylosaurus (£24.99), and 76967 Little Eatie: T. rex.

These sets continue LEGO's push into younger demographics for the Jurassic theme, which has mostly focused on larger, more complex builds. The baby dinosaur line offers simpler constructions that 4-7 year olds can manage without getting frustrated.

The pricing seems consistent across the range at around £25 per set. That's reasonable for what you get - a buildable dinosaur figure plus usually some accessories or small builds. The Pteranodon should be particularly appealing since flying dinosaurs always capture kids' imagination differently than the ground-based ones.

Whilst these won't satisfy adult builders looking for detailed display pieces, they fill an important gap. Parents wanting to introduce younger children to both LEGO and dinosaurs have limited options that aren't either too simple or too advanced. These baby dino sets hit that sweet spot where kids can build something recognisable without needing constant help.

No word yet on UK availability or exact pricing for the Pteranodon, but expect it to follow the same pattern as its predecessors - wide retail availability and that £25 price point.
