LEGO Insiders Day: Free 40912 Sea Serpent GWP With £160 Spend Until 12 July

LEGO Insiders Day is live now, running from today, 7 July, until 12 July 2026. Spend £160 at the LEGO Shop during the event and you get the IDEAS 40912 Sea Serpent free - the headline gift with purchase from this year's summer Insiders Day.

You'll need a free Insiders membership to take part. If you're not already signed up, it takes a couple of minutes and costs nothing.

Two GWPs are running at once. The headline 40912 Sea Serpent is a 241-piece remake of the classic 1992 set 6057, designed by LEGO Ideas contest winner HallowedBrick02, and it unlocks at £160 of spend. The second gift, the 5010053 Airplane, comes free when you spend £90 on Creator 3-in-1, City or Friends - it's a 149-piece build that includes a pilot and a passenger minifigure. If you're buying from those themes anyway, it's an easy add.

Alongside the GWPs there's an Insiders member sale, with member-only pricing on a good spread of sets. Highlights include Optimus Prime (10302) down to £127.99 from £159.99, the Lamborghini Countach (10337) at £127.99, Jaws (21350) at £103.99, and Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (21360) at £159.99. The sale runs for the same 7-12 July window, while stocks last.

IDEAS GWPs are usually worth having. They're compact, often cleverly built, and a sea serpent is a genuinely fun subject - the sort of thing that sits nicely on a shelf without hogging space. The £160 threshold is the real consideration; if you were already planning a bigger purchase, this tips the balance nicely.

There's also a double points promotion. Insiders points are normally worth around 5% of an order in future store credit, so doubling them means roughly 10% back on your spend. It doesn't apply to everything - this time it covers LEGO Education, Sonic the Hedgehog, Speed Champions, Jurassic World, Harry Potter, Marvel, Disney and Wicked sets - but on those it's a meaningful discount stacked on top of the GWPs, so it's worth timing your purchases around if you can.
