The brick-built replica of the ANE MÆRSK represents the world's first low-emissions, dual-fuel container vessel, scaled down to a display-friendly size. This 1,513-piece model captures the distinctive features of Maersk's pioneering cargo ship, complete with authentic maritime details and construction techniques.

The model includes several interactive elements that reveal the ship's inner workings. A removable plate allows access to detailed crew quarters, while transparent windows showcase the engine room beneath. Slide-out gangways extend from the vessel's sides, and an information plaque provides context about the real ship's significance in maritime history.

Construction and Display

Building techniques emphasise both structural integrity and visual authenticity. The model incorporates the characteristic lines and proportions of modern container vessels, with careful attention to the bridge superstructure and cargo handling equipment. When complete, the ship sits on its own display stand.
