LEGO Icons Jaguar E-Type (11381): £129.99, 1,673 Pieces, Out 1 August

LEGO has revealed the Icons Jaguar E-Type (11381), a 1,673-piece recreation of the British sports car that Enzo Ferrari reportedly called the most beautiful car ever made. Pre-orders are open now on LEGO.com ahead of a 1 August 2026 launch, priced at £129.99 / US$139.99 / €139.99.

Modelled on the real-life 77 RW car, the E-Type is finished in British racing green with wire-style rims - a welcome departure from the black or silver that Icons vehicles tend to default to. At roughly 7.8p per piece in the UK and 8.4 cents in the US, it compares favourably with recent Icons releases, many of which push past 10p.

Lift the bonnet and an inline-6 engine is on display. The textile roof folds back, the doors open onto a detailed cockpit with working steering, and a five-piece toolkit sits in the boot, which pops open at the push of a button.

Three new moulded elements make their debut: new wheel bases, a new windscreen, and a new wheel arch. LEGO does not introduce new moulds without good reason, so three in a single release points to genuine effort spent on getting the proportions right. The transparent headlight shields have divided early opinion - they look slightly at odds with the otherwise clean bodywork - though how much that bothers you will depend on how well you know the original.

A dark tan plume also features, a minifigure accessory previously limited to Radagast the Brown and Angelica from Pirates of the Caribbean. It commands high prices on the secondary market, so its inclusion in a mainstream release is a practical win for collectors who would rather not track down vintage minifigures at inflated prices. There are no minifigures; this is a display set through and through.

Jaguar E-Type in context

At £129.99 for 1,673 pieces, the Jaguar E-Type lands as one of the better-value cars in the Icons line, and the detailing suggests LEGO has treated the subject with the care it deserves.
