76476 The Ministry of Magic: LEGO's Collectors' Edition Harry Potter set lands on 1 September
LEGO has revealed 76476 The Ministry of Magic, an 18+ Collectors' Edition Harry Potter set and the centrepiece of the theme's 2026 slate. It arrives twenty-five years after Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone first reached cinemas. LEGO Insiders get early access from 29 August; general sale opens on 1 September to coincide with Back to Hogwarts Day and the worldwide anniversary cinema screenings running that weekend. The set is exclusive to LEGO.com and LEGO Stores.
UK price is £389.99. Internationally: €429.99 in Europe, US$449.99 in the United States, AU$699.99 in Australia, CAD$629.99 in Canada, and SGD$619.90 in Singapore.
At 3,491 pieces, the model stands 51 cm tall by 35 cm wide - roughly 11p per piece. That figure has drawn scepticism in the community: 10316 Rivendell and 76269 Avengers Tower both sit only around $50 more in the United States yet offer substantially larger builds. The nearest Harry Potter precedent, 75978 Diagon Alley, made its case through sheer scale at nearly 6,000 pieces across a modular street layout; 76476 takes a different route, stacking three distinct environments into a single cross-section.
The build is a three-level vertical cross-section at minifigure scale, drawing on scenes from both Order of the Phoenix and Deathly Hallows. Street level covers the Muggle world above ground: the Leaky Cauldron (making its minifigure-scale LEGO debut), a passageway leading through to Diagon Alley, a London Underground station, and the red telephone box that drops visitors down into the Ministry below. The middle level holds Arthur Weasley's office, Dolores Umbridge's office, and the courtroom where Harry faces trial. The lowest level is the Department of Mysteries, anchored by the Hall of Prophecy.
Two interactive features stand out. A flush mechanic sends a minifigure from a toilet cubicle down into the Ministry, and the Hall of Prophecy shelves are built to topple, recreating the battle with the Death Eaters.
Fourteen minifigures are included: Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Albus Dumbledore, Lord Voldemort, Sirius Black, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Arabella Figg, Nymphadora Tonks, Arthur Weasley, Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody, Lucius Malfoy, Antonin Dolohov, and Dolores Umbridge. Arabella Figg makes her LEGO debut here. Also in the box: a golden wizard statue and Kingsley Shacklebolt's Lynx Patronus, the 25th anniversary collectible figure appearing across the Harry Potter range this year.
The Ministry last appeared as 76403 The Ministry of Magic in 2022, a considerably smaller set with a different character selection. The Harry Potter theme launched in 2001, and the Ministry has remained one of its most conspicuous gaps ever since. The Collectors' Edition label puts 76476 alongside 76419 Hogwarts Castle and Grounds as something aimed squarely at adults building for display rather than play.
Two things worth flagging: Luna Lovegood is absent from the lineup despite her prominent role in the Order of the Phoenix sequences the set depicts, and no GWP has been announced - both unusual for a flagship release at this price point. Whether the cross-section approach and 14-minifigure roster justify £389.99 is a question your shelf space and bank account will need to settle between them.
