Three New Toy Story Sets Land in May: Slinky Dog Bookends, Pizza Planet Alien, and Lotso
43301 Slinky Dog Bookends (£29.99, 349 pieces), 43307 Alien with Pizza Planet Rocket Ride (£39.99, 493 pieces), and 43306 Lotso (£19.99, 239 pieces) all hit shelves on 1st May.

The Slinky Dog bookends might be the pick of the bunch. At 8.5p per piece, it's decent value and solves the eternal problem of what to do with all those LEGO instruction manuals. The build uses Slinky's stretchy spring as the actual bookend mechanism, which is properly clever engineering rather than just a static display piece.

Lotso gets his first standalone set after years of cameos. The £19.99 price point makes this an obvious gift set, though 239 pieces for twenty quid feels a bit steep. The pink bear builds into a poseable figure with movable arms and that signature strawberry scent reportedly captured through printed tiles showing his fuzzy texture.

43307 Alien with Pizza Planet Rocket Ride sits oddly between the other two. The rocket build looks solid enough, but £39.99 for 493 pieces pushes into questionable territory when you can get much better value elsewhere in the Disney range. The three-eyed alien figure is nicely detailed, complete with Pizza Planet uniform printing.

All three target the 10+ age range, though younger Toy Story fans will manage fine with a bit of help. They're clearly timed for the summer holidays, which makes sense given Toy Story's family appeal.
