Summer BrickHeadz Wave Brings Toy Story and Transformers

LEGO's dropped four new BrickHeadz sets for June 1st, covering Toy Story and Transformers. The Toy Story (40860) set catches my eye most - 528 pieces for £39.99 gets you what looks like Woody, Buzz, and possibly Jessie and everybody's favourite space aliens! based on the images. That's about 7.6p per piece, which is decent for BrickHeadz.

The Megatron Robot Vehicle (40924) appears to be the other major set, though the original article cuts off before showing full details. BrickHeadz have found their stride with these character-focused multi-packs rather than single figures.

Toy Story feels like natural territory for BrickHeadz. The chunky, stylised format suits Pixar characters well, and parents buying for younger builders get recognisable faces without the complexity of bigger sets. The 528-piece count suggests this isn't just three basic heads - there's likely some scene building or additional elements.

At £40, the Toy Story set sits in that sweet spot where it's not pocket money but won't break the bank either. Perfect for birthdays or when you want something substantial but manageable.

The real test will be whether the finished models actually look like the characters rather than vague approximations.
