Pacific Rim, Hamilton and Five More Reach the LEGO Ideas 2026 Review Stage

Seven fan projects cleared the 10,000-supporter threshold on LEGO Ideas this week, bringing the total in the Second 2026 Review Stage to 68. Pacific Rim: Gipsy Danger by Cosmic.Nomad is the standout. A Jaeger mech from the 2013 film suits LEGO well - it's mechanical, richly detailed, and the kind of build adult fans would display alongside something from the Icons range. The film has a devoted following that never quite got the merchandise it deserved, and this feels like a natural fit.

Three of the seven are IP-driven in other directions. Fruits Basket by Jagamax is presumably the beloved shoujo anime, finally getting some attention.

You know, Hamilton by Minibrick41587 is an unusual pitch - a stage musical in brick form - but the show has exactly the sort of fanbase that campaigns obsessively for this kind of thing. Castiel Supernatural by SamSamSamy rounds out the trio.

All three stand or fall on whether LEGO can secure the licences, which is a separate conversation from whether the builds themselves are good. CoasterZoom had a productive week, getting both The Bridge Village and The Autumn Forest through in the same update. The Fountain Place by Santheg makes three architectural or nature-themed entries in this batch.

None of those three are chasing an IP to sell themselves - they're appealing to the same buyers who've worked through the Botanical Collection, and that's a perfectly solid position to be in.
