Nintendo Switch 2 Gets Exclusive Batman Minifigure with LEGO Game deluxe edition

Warner Bros. announced yesterday that LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 this September, and they're sweetening the deal with an exclusive minifigure.

The physical Deluxe Edition includes a LEGO Retro Video Game Batman minifigure that you won't find anywhere else. This marks a rare win for Nintendo platforms for LEGO game bonuses. Usually these extras go to PlayStation or get spread across all systems, so it's refreshing to see the Switch getting something unique.

The minifigure appears to be styled after classic 8-bit Batman graphics. It's mildly irritating that other platforms miss out entirely. Platform exclusives always feel a bit arbitrary, especially when you've got the game on multiple systems but can only get the minifigure on one.

Still, if you were planning to get a Switch 2 anyway, this gives you a decent reason to pick this version. Pre-orders are live on Amazon now, with the game launching on 18 September alongside PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC versions. The same day also brings a Mayhem Collection DLC featuring Joker and Harley Quinn across all platforms, so at least that content isn't locked to one system.
