Ninjago's 15th Anniversary Gets a Massive Celebration with The Old Town Set
LEGO's celebrating fifteen years of Ninjago with quite the statement piece - The Old Town 15th Anniversary (71861) is landing on New Year's Day 2026, and it's properly substantial. At 4,851 pieces for around £250, you're looking at roughly 5p per piece, which isn't bad considering what you're getting.

You get four distinct sections - a front gate, post office and workshop, a three-storey tower, and a lookout point. The clever bit is how they connect: arrange them in a circle for a fortified town feel, or line them up horizontally for a sprawling 39-inch display. That's the sort of flexibility that makes a set work for different spaces and preferences.
Twenty-three minifigures is generous, especially with three exclusive 15th anniversary figures thrown in. For Ninjago fans, that's going to be the real draw - you're essentially getting a whole population for your town.

The set strikes me as appealing to both adult collectors and kids who've grown up with the theme. It's substantial enough to be a proper display piece, but the modular nature means younger builders can rearrange and rebuild to their heart's content. The only consideration is space - even in its most compact circular configuration, this won't be tucked away on just any shelf.
At this price point, it's clearly positioned as a premium celebration set rather than pocket money territory. But for what's essentially four connected builds with a small army of figures, the value seems fair enough. Whether it's worth the investment depends on your attachment to Ninjago and how much you fancy having a proper town to display.
