LEGO's New Winnie the Pooh Sets Are Proper Charming
LEGO has just announced a couple of delightful Disney Winnie the Pooh sets landing in March, and they've got that classic charm that'll appeal to both nostalgic adults and young fans of the Hundred Acre Wood.

The star of the show is the Winnie the Pooh set (43300) at £149.99 for 1,399 pieces - that's about 11p per piece, which is decent value for a licensed Disney set. What's clever about this one is that Pooh's hunny pot opens up to reveal little rooms inside, giving you both a display piece and a proper playset. It's the sort of thoughtful design that makes you smile, especially if you remember reading those A.A. Milne stories as a kid.
There's also Piglet's Birthday Fun (43305), which features our favourite anxious pink pig with a birthday cake that opens up too. The opening mechanism seems to be the theme here, which is brilliant for play value - kids love sets that transform or reveal hidden bits.
Both sets look to have that gentle, storybook quality that Disney sets do well when they're not trying to be too flashy. The colour palette appears soft and warm, perfect for a child's bedroom shelf or even tucked into a grown-up's study without looking out of place.
At nearly £150, the main Pooh set isn't pocket money territory, but for 1,399 pieces of what looks like quality building and a genuinely charming subject matter, it seems reasonable. Plus, Winnie the Pooh has that timeless appeal - it's not tied to the latest film or trend that'll be forgotten next year.
These should appeal to parents looking for something a bit special, and definitely to adult fans who grew up with Pooh Bear. Just mind you've got the shelf space - that hunny pot looks like it'll need a decent spot to show it off properly.
