LEGO's new Douglas DC-3 Pan Am airliner lands in Icons range
Is LEGO running out of classic cars for the Icons range? The Douglas DC-3 Pan Am Airliner (10326) suggests they're branching into aviation history instead. This 1,955-piece build recreates the legendary aircraft that revolutionised commercial aviation in the 1930s. The model measures 60cm long with a 69cm wingspan - sizeable enough to dominate a display shelf. LEGO's chosen the Pan Am livery, complete with that distinctive blue cheatline and globe logo.
The DC-3 fits the Icons remit perfectly. It's historically significant, visually striking, and appeals to both aviation enthusiasts and general builders. At £179.99 (roughly 9p per piece), the pricing sits comfortably within Icons territory - more expensive than Creator 3-in-1 sets but reasonable for this level of detail and piece count.
LEGO's been expanding beyond automotive Icons lately, and aircraft offer rich territory for future releases. The DC-3's distinctive twin-engine design and art deco-era styling should translate well into brick form. Available from 1st May 2026 for VIP members, with general release following on 4th May.
