LEGO Sagrada Familia (21065) - The Largest LEGO Set Ever Made
LEGO has broken its own record with the Sagrada Familia, a monumental 12,060-piece Architecture set that dethrones The World Map as the largest official LEGO set by piece count. At £649.99, the Barcelona landmark represents remarkable value, compared to Deathstars. Antoni Gaudi's architectural masterpiece comes to life in unprecedented detail, standing 62cm high, 47cm wide and 39cm deep.

The scale allows for intricate recreation of the basilica's most striking features. Stained-glass effect windows mirror how light moves through the real church, creating an authentic visual experience. 18 symbolic towers rise above three elaborately carved facades representing the Nativity, Passion, and Glory.

Each facade tells part of Christ's story through detailed LEGO sculpture work. Inside, the forest-like interior design captures Gaudi's organic architectural vision with branching columns that support the soaring ceiling. Advanced building techniques recreate the complex geometry that makes Sagrada Familia a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The building sequence follows the real cathedral's construction timeline with impressive authenticity. Builders start with the Apse containing the Crypt, then progress to the Nativity facade - the only section Gaudi completed before his death. Construction continues through the Passion facade, naves, Western Sacristy, six towers, Eastern Sacristy, and finally the Glory facade.

The timing creates a fitting centenary tribute, arriving exactly 100 years after Gaudi's death in 1926. Work began on the actual Sagrada Familia in 1882, making it one of the world's longest-running construction projects. Barcelona's most famous landmark remains unfinished nearly 145 years later, with completion scheduled for 2026.

Builders should expect 25-35 hours of construction time across this 18+ Architecture set. Like other sets in the theme, no minifigures are included, keeping focus on the architectural achievement. The completed model serves as both display piece and tribute to Gaudi's revolutionary design vision.

Available to pre-order now from LEGO.com for £649.99, with a release date of 1 November 2026.
