LEGO Ideas Love Birds (21365) Chirps Its Way to Shelves This January
Here's a lovely bit of news to brighten up the new year - LEGO's Love Birds (21365) is officially heading our way on January 1st, and it's got quite a sweet story behind it.

This 750-piece set started life as the winning entry in LEGO's "Build from the Heart" Valentine's contest last September, with the victory announced back in February. What I find rather charming is how LEGO has stayed faithful to the original fan design, just tweaking the birds and tree slightly for the final production version.
At £39.99 (that's roughly 5p per piece), it sits in decent value territory for an Ideas set. The build features two colourful birds perched on a tree branch, and from the images, it looks like it'll make a proper eye-catching display piece. It's the sort of thing that works equally well on a shelf at home or tucked into an office corner.
This feels very much aimed at the adult builder market - couples might fancy building it together, and bird enthusiasts will probably love the attention to detail. The Ideas line has always been about celebrating fan creativity, and there's something quite special about seeing a contest winner make it all the way to retail.
Size-wise, it should fit comfortably on most shelves without taking over your entire display area. The tree design gives it a nice natural feel that won't look out of place amongst other builds or even regular home decor.
Whilst it's not the most complex or massive Ideas set we've seen, there's real appeal in its simplicity and the story behind it. Sometimes the most satisfying builds are the ones that capture a moment or feeling rather than trying to be the biggest thing on the shelf.
Pre-orders are already live if you fancy securing one for the new year. Not a bad way to start 2026, really - a gentle build with a bit of heart behind it.
