LEGO Ideas E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (21370) Lands 1 August at £119.99

Lafabrick's LEGO Ideas submission has made it through, and on 1 August 2026 the E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial set goes on sale at £119.99. At 1,226 pieces with an 18+ rating, it sits firmly in adult collectibles territory. That works out to roughly 9.7p per piece, on the steeper side for Ideas, though licensed properties tend to carry that premium.

Articulation is where the model earns its keep. The head tilts up and down and rotates a full 360 degrees, the mouth opens and closes, and the arms, wrists and fingers are all adjustable. E.T.'s forefinger can be positioned on its own, so that pointing gesture from the film is easy to recreate.

E.T. poseable figure detail

A switch at the back activates a built-in light brick that makes E.T.'s heart glow, one of the film's most recognisable images. The figure can also hold a pot of LEGO flowers, a nod to the scene where he revives the dying plants. Finished, it stands 24 cm high, 21 cm wide and 15 cm deep.

E.T. reached cinemas in 1982, which puts it squarely in the childhood memories of LEGO's core adult buyer. If you grew up watching it, the pull is obvious. The wrinkled, expressive face is the hardest part of any E.T. figure to get right, and from the press images LEGO looks to have done it justice, though builders will confirm that once it is in hand.

Design credit goes to Lafabrick, whose project gathered enough community votes to reach LEGO's review stage. That history means the set had an audience before production was ever confirmed. Parents eyeing it for younger fans should note the 18+ rating reflects a build geared towards experienced hands rather than children.
