LEGO Icons 40893 Grond Brings Middle-earth Siege Warfare to Brick
LEGO has released 40893 Grond, a 307-piece recreation of the massive battering ram from The Lord of the Rings films. Part of the Icons collection, Grond captures the wolf-headed siege engine that breached the gates of Minas Tirith in The Return of the King. Priced at £24.99, it brings Middle-earth warfare to brick form with authentic movie details.

Builders construct a functional ramming mechanism that operates just like its on-screen counterpart. The wolf-head design stays faithful to Peter Jackson's vision, complete with snarling features and battle-worn detailing. Four wheels allow the siege engine to roll into position for assault.

Two Orc minifigures crew the war machine, armed with a bow and machete for battlefield combat. Both warriors sport detailed printing that matches their movie appearances. Additional weapons and accessories complete the military loadout.

Designed as a companion to the enormous Minas Tirith set (11377), the two models together recreate one of the trilogy's most epic battle scenes. Measuring 12 cm high, 14 cm long, and 10 cm wide, Grond fits comfortably on display shelves alongside other Middle-earth builds.
