LEGO Architecture New York City Set Packs Seven Landmarks Into One Build
Are you running out of shelf space for Architecture sets? LEGO's solution is cramming more landmarks into each box.

New York City – The Big Apple (21066) arrives 1st June with 1,465 pieces for £119.99. That's roughly 8p per piece, which sits in the usual Architecture range.

The set includes seven New York landmarks: Empire State Building, One World Trade Center, Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty, plus the Guggenheim and Metropolitan museums. Central Park gets a nod too. The clever bit is the backdrop – a translucent red apple that apparently illuminates the skyline. Whether this works better than previous Architecture lighting gimmicks remains to be seen.
This continues Architecture's shift towards city collections rather than individual buildings. London (21034) and Paris (21044) proved popular, so the approach makes sense. You get variety without buying separate sets, though purists might prefer the focus of single-building models.

At nearly 1,500 pieces, this isn't a quick weekend build. The detail level should satisfy adult builders whilst the recognisable landmarks appeal to anyone who's visited New York.

Just check your display space first – Architecture sets have a habit of multiplying.
