Star Wars May the 4th Price Check: Best Deals Heading Into the Weekend
I published a comprehensive guide to the May the 4th 2026 deals last week, covering LEGO.com's GWPs, double VIP points, and discounted sets. Since then, prices have shifted across UK retailers and a wave of new Mandalorian sets have launched, several already below RRP. Here's a price check heading into the weekend.
AT-ST Walker Crashes to £109.99

The biggest mover since last week is the 75417 AT-ST Walker. Amazon and Joybuy now have it at £109.99, a full 39% off the £179.99 RRP. That's £34 cheaper than what LEGO.com's own 20% sale is expected to offer (~£143.99). John Lewis, Smyths, and Very have also dropped to £143.99, matching the estimated LEGO sale price.
Unless you specifically need to hit the £145 GWP threshold at LEGO.com, Amazon's price is the clear winner here. This set retires at the end of 2027, so there's no rush, but 39% off a UCS set is unusual.
New Releases Already Discounted

The new Mandalorian-themed sets launched on April 26th and Chaos Cards has already undercut RRP on every single one:
| Set | RRP | Best Price | Retailer | Saving |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 75447 The Razor Crest | £139.99 | £126.95 | Chaos Cards | £13 (9%) |
| 75446 Grogu (Mandalorian Apprentice) | £119.99 | £108.95 | Chaos Cards | £11 (9%) |
| 75445 Anzellan Starship | £64.99 | £58.95 | Chaos Cards | £6 (9%) |
| 75444 AT-RT Attack | £39.99 | £36.65 | Chaos Cards | £3 (8%) |
| 75439 Darth Vader Bust | £44.99 | £39.95 | Chaos Cards | £5 (11%) |
| 75438 Yoda Bust | £34.99 | £32.95 | Chaos Cards | £2 (6%) |
| 75452 BB-8 | £79.99 | £56.98 | Amazon | £23 (29%) |

BB-8 is the standout. Amazon has it at £56.98, almost 30% off. It only launched in January and this is a new all-time low. The Razor Crest and Grogu are both eligible for double VIP points at LEGO.com, but even with 10% VIP credit factored in, Chaos Cards is still cheaper for Grogu (£108.95 vs ~£108 effective at LEGO). For The Razor Crest, buying at LEGO.com at £139.99 with 2x points gives an effective cost of ~£126 which edges out Chaos Cards by a whisker, and gets you closer to that £145 GWP threshold for the free Darksaber.
Updated LEGO.com Sale Comparison
LEGO.com's 20% off Star Wars sale starts tomorrow (1st May). Here's how the estimated sale prices compare to what's available right now:
Where LEGO.com's Sale Still Wins
| Set | LEGO Sale (est.) | Best Elsewhere | Winner |
|---|---|---|---|
| 75382 TIE Interceptor | ~£159.99 | £169.99 (Amazon) | LEGO.com by £10 |
| 75397 Jabba's Sail Barge | ~£343.99 | £419.99 (Smyths) | LEGO.com by £76 |
Both of these retire at the end of 2026, making this likely one of the last official sales. The TIE Interceptor at ~£160 comfortably clears the £145 threshold for the free Darksaber GWP too. Jabba's Sail Barge is the best value play of the whole event if you've been eyeing it.
Where Other Retailers Beat LEGO.com's Sale
| Set | LEGO Sale (est.) | Best Elsewhere | Retailer | Saving vs LEGO Sale |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 75417 AT-ST Walker | ~£143.99 | £109.99 | Amazon | £34 cheaper |
| 75398 C-3PO | ~£99.99 | £89.99 | Amazon/Very | £10 cheaper |
| 75407 Star Wars Logo | ~£47.99 | £42.99 | Amazon/Very | £5 cheaper |
| 75328 Mandalorian Helmet | ~£47.99 | £39.99 | John Lewis/Smyths | £8 cheaper |
The AT-ST Walker is the most dramatic. Amazon is a third cheaper than LEGO.com's discounted price. None of these sale sets earn double VIP points, so there's no hidden benefit to buying from LEGO.com unless you need to reach the GWP threshold.
Other Notable Deals Right Now
Beyond the May 4th sets, there are some solid discounts across the Star Wars range:
| Set | RRP | Best Price | Retailer | Discount |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 75410 Mando & Grogu's N-1 Starfighter | £24.99 | £12.50 | Amazon | 50% off |
| 75443 Grogu's Homestead | £17.99 | £9.99 | Amazon | 44% off |
| 75372 Clone Trooper & Battle Droid Battle Pack | £24.99 | £14.99 | Joybuy | 40% off |
| 75413 Republic Juggernaut | £139.99 | £99.99 | John Lewis/Smyths | 29% off |
| 75440 AT-AT | £59.99 | £42.74 | Amazon | 29% off |
| 75441 Venator-Class Attack Cruiser | £69.99 | £53.15 | Amazon | 24% off |
| 75434 K-2SO | £79.99 | £54.99 | Amazon/John Lewis | 31% off |
| 75433 Jango Fett's Starship | £59.99 | £39.59 | Amazon | 34% off |
| 75403 Grogu with Hover Pram | £89.99 | £56.99 | B&M | 37% off |
| 75389 The Dark Falcon | £159.99 | £111.99 | Multiple | 30% off |
| 75419 Death Star | £899.99 | £764.99 | Amazon | 15% off |
Mando & Grogu's N-1 Starfighter at half price is hard to argue with, and the Republic Juggernaut at £99.99 has dropped again since last week. The Dark Falcon is now £111.99 across John Lewis, Smyths, Very, and Amazon. That's 30% off a set that retires this year.
Quick Strategy Guide
Buying from LEGO.com makes sense if:
- You want the Darksaber GWP (spend £145+ on Star Wars sets, 1st-6th May)
- You're buying the TIE Interceptor or Jabba's Sail Barge, both genuinely cheapest at LEGO.com during the sale
- You want the UCS N-1 Starfighter exclusive display piece
- You're picking up 2x VIP-eligible sets at RRP anyway
Buying elsewhere makes sense if:
- You want the AT-ST Walker, Amazon's price is unbeatable
- You're after sets from the discounted list that are already cheaper at other retailers
- You're buying new releases, Chaos Cards is already undercutting LEGO.com
- You don't care about GWPs or VIP points
Check the full price comparisons for any set on BrickSleuth before you buy. Prices can shift over the weekend as retailers respond to LEGO.com's sale going live.
