LEGO May the 4th 2026: UK Deals, GWPs, Double Points & Price Comparisons
I've been holding off on this post for as long as I can, I really wanted to get a good price comparison between Lego's online deals and every other retailers punt at May the 4th. But I think I'll post an update if things change significantly in the coming days.
LEGO's annual May the 4th celebration is back, running from 1st to 6th May 2026. Discounted sets, double VIP points, and exclusive freebies are on offer in this annual tradition. Here's a full breakdown of everything happening.
Free Gifts with Purchase
The headline freebies this time around:

40917 The Darksaber (278 pieces) - Free when you spend £145 or more on Star Wars sets at LEGO.com between 1st-6th May, while stocks last. This is a buildable lightsaber hilt display piece, similar in concept to last year's Luke Skywalker Lightsaber (40730) which currently sells for £80-100 on eBay. Even being conservative, Pre-orders on eBay are already listed at £44-55, so expect solid resale value if you don't want to keep it.

LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian and Grogu Display - Purchases of the brand-new UCS N-1 Starfighter (75442) between 1st-6th May include this exclusive display piece while stocks last.

Mando & Grogu Metal Card Display - Available through LEGO Insiders Rewards from 1st May, redeemable for 2,500 points. Not a set, but a nice collectible if you've been hoarding points.
New Releases - Available 26th April
Arriving just ahead of the event, these new Star Wars sets will be eligible for the May the 4th promotions:

75442 The Mandalorian's N-1 Starfighter - UCS (£229.99)
The star of the show. 1,931 pieces, 18+, and the newest addition to the Ultimate Collector Series. Currently available at LEGO.com and Smyths Toys for £229.99. Buy from LEGO.com during the event to bag the exclusive display piece, and it counts towards your £145 GWP threshold too.
| Set | RRP | Pieces | Age |
|---|---|---|---|
| 75438 Yoda Bust | £34.99 | 399 | 18+ |
| 75439 Darth Vader Bust | £44.99 | 349 | 18+ |
| 75445 Anzellan Starship | £64.99 | 701 | 9+ |
| 75444 AT-RT Attack | £39.99 | 297 | 7+ |
| 75446 Grogu (Mandalorian Apprentice) | £119.99 | 1,200 | 10+ |
| 75447 The Razor Crest | £139.99 | 930 | 10+ |
| 40856 The Mandalorian and Grogu BrickHeadz | £34.99 | 661 | 10+ |

Discounted Sets - Europe & UK
These sets are on sale at LEGO.com during the event. The Star Wars sets get 20% off, while the space-themed sets from other themes see 15-20% reductions.
Star Wars - 20% Off

| Set | RRP | Sale Price (est.) | Pieces | Retiring |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 75328 The Mandalorian Helmet | £59.99 | ~£47.99 | 584 | Dec 2026 |
| 75382 TIE Interceptor (UCS) | £199.99 | ~£159.99 | 1,931 | Dec 2026 |
| 75397 Jabba's Sail Barge (UCS) | £429.99 | ~£343.99 | 3,942 | Dec 2026 |
| 75398 C-3PO | £124.99 | ~£99.99 | 1,138 | Dec 2027 |
| 75407 Star Wars Logo | £59.99 | ~£47.99 | 700 | Dec 2027 |
| 75417 AT-ST Walker (UCS) | £179.99 | ~£143.99 | 1,513 | Dec 2027 |
These sale sets are excluded from 2x VIP points, but they do count towards the £145 GWP spend threshold. So buying the TIE Interceptor at ~£160 comfortably gets you the Darksaber for free on top of the discount. That's effectively ~£160 + a £44-55 GWP for a set that retails at £200.
Three of these UCS sets (75328, 75382, 75397) retire at the end of 2026, so this might be one of the last official discounts on them.
Space-Themed Sets - 15-20% Off

| Set | RRP | Discount | Pieces | Retiring |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 60430 Interstellar Spaceship | £17.99 | 15% off | 240 | Dec 2026 |
| 42179 Planet Earth and Moon in Orbit | £69.99 | 15% off | 526 | Jul 2027 |
| 31212 The Milky Way Galaxy | £169.99 | 20% off | 3,091 | Jul 2027 |
| 31152 Space Astronaut | £44.99 | 20% off | 647 | Jul 2026 |
| 31164 Space Robots | £19.99 | 20% off | 281 | Jul 2026 |
| 42158 NASA Mars Perseverance Rover | £84.99 | 20% off | 1,132 | Jul 2026 |
| 42211 Lunar Outpost Moon Rover | £89.99 | 20% off | 1,082 | Jul 2026 |
These are non-Star Wars sets so they won't earn 2x points or count towards the Star Wars GWP threshold. Four of them retire mid-2026, so if any are on your radar, this sale is a good shout.
Double VIP Points
All Star Wars sets on LEGO.com earn 2x VIP points from 1st-6th May (worldwide). That's 10% back in VIP vouchers rather than the usual 5%. Some highlights from the eligible list:
Battle Packs - 75345 501st Clone Troopers (£13.99), 75372 Clone Trooper & Battle Droid (£24.99), 75373 Ambush on Mandalore (£13.99), 75431 327th Star Corps (£24.99), 75449 Siege of Mandalore (£13.99)
Buildable Figures - 75379 R2-D2 (£89.99), 75403 Grogu with Hover Pram (£89.99), 75416 Chopper (£89.99), 75434 K-2SO (£74.99), 75428 Battle Droid with STAP (£89.99), 75446 Grogu Mandalorian Apprentice (£119.99), 75452 BB-8 (£44.99)
Playsets & Vehicles - 75394 Imperial Star Destroyer (£149.99), 75399 Rebel U-wing (£54.99), 75402 ARC-170 Starfighter (£44.99), 75413 Republic Juggernaut (£69.99), 75433 Jango Fett's Starship (£59.99), 75435 Battle of Felucia MTT (£89.99)
Mandalorian Movie - 75444 AT-RT Attack (£39.99), 75445 Anzellan Starship (£64.99), 75447 The Razor Crest (£139.99), 75460 New Republic X-Wing (£49.99)
Note that UCS sets, helmets, busts, midi-scale models, and the 75398 C-3PO buildable figure are excluded from 2x points, though they still count towards the GWP spend threshold. The full exclusion list includes sets like 75192 Millennium Falcon (UCS), 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser, 75375 Millennium Falcon (Midi-Scale), and others.
Price Comparison - LEGO.com vs Other UK Retailers
Here's where things get interesting. Several of these sets are already discounted at UK retailers, but once you factor in GWP value and double VIP points, the picture often shifts in LEGO.com's favour.
We've added an "effective price" column that accounts for the 2x VIP points (extra 5% back) where applicable, and noted where GWP value further tips the scales.
Sets Where Other Retailers Are Cheaper
| Set | LEGO Sale (est.) | Best Elsewhere | Best At | With 2x Points |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 75398 C-3PO | ~£99.99 | £89.99 | Amazon/Very | N/A (excluded from 2x) |
| 75407 Star Wars Logo | ~£47.99 | £42.99 | Amazon/Very | N/A (excluded from 2x) |
| 75328 The Mandalorian Helmet | ~£47.99 | £40.00 | Argos | N/A (excluded from 2x) |
| 31164 Space Robots | ~£15.99 | £15.00 | Amazon | N/A (non-SW) |
For these, other retailers genuinely win since the sale sets are excluded from 2x points (UCS/helmets/logos) or aren't Star Wars. However, if you're already placing a LEGO.com order for the GWP, bundling some of these in could still make sense to hit the £145 threshold.
Sets Where LEGO.com Wins
| Set | LEGO Sale (est.) | Best Elsewhere | Effective with GWP |
|---|---|---|---|
| 75382 TIE Interceptor | ~£159.99 | £199.99 (Amazon) | £160 + free Darksaber (£45-55 value) |
| 75397 Jabba's Sail Barge | ~£343.99 | £419.99 (Smyths) | £344 + free Darksaber (£45-55 value) |
| 75417 AT-ST Walker | ~£143.99 | £143.99 (Smyths/Amazon) | Same price, but LEGO purchase counts towards £145 GWP |
| 31212 The Milky Way Galaxy | ~£135.99 | £152.95 (Chaos Cards) | Best price anywhere |
| 31152 Space Astronaut | ~£35.99 | £39.95 (Chaos Cards) | Best price anywhere |
| 42179 Planet Earth & Moon | ~£59.49 | £62.99 (Amazon) | Best in-stock price |
| 42211 Lunar Outpost | ~£71.99 | £74.21 (Amazon) | Best price anywhere |
The big UCS sets are clear LEGO.com wins. The TIE Interceptor at ~£160 not only saves you £40 off RRP, but it comfortably clears the £145 threshold for the Darksaber GWP. With the Darksaber pre-selling at £44-55 on eBay, your effective cost drops to around £105-115 for a set that's £200 everywhere else. The AT-ST Walker matches the best price elsewhere, but buying from LEGO counts towards the GWP threshold — giving it the edge if you're building an order.
2x Points Sets - The Quiet Winners
For sets that ARE eligible for 2x points and are only available at RRP everywhere, LEGO.com is automatically the best option during this event. The 10% VIP return means:
| Example Set | Price | VIP Credit Earned | Effective Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| 75447 The Razor Crest | £139.99 | £14.00 | ~£126 |
| 75446 Grogu (Mando Apprentice) | £119.99 | £12.00 | ~£108 |
| 75394 Imperial Star Destroyer | £149.99 | £15.00 | ~£135 |
Note that some 2x-eligible sets are already discounted at other retailers — 75403 Grogu with Hover Pram is £69.99 at Amazon/Smyths and as low as £56.99 at B&M, and 75433 Jango Fett's Starship is £44.99 at Smyths/Amazon. For these, buying elsewhere is cheaper even after factoring in 2x points. Check the price comparisons before ordering.
And if your Star Wars total hits £145, you're getting the Darksaber on top. The lower threshold makes this easier to reach — 75447 The Razor Crest (£139.99) plus any battle pack (from £13.99) gets you there.

The event runs 1st-6th May on LEGO.com. Stock on the GWPs tends to go fast, so don't leave it until the last day if there's something you want.
Prices shown are based on current UK RRPs with the announced discount percentages applied. Actual sale prices on LEGO.com may vary slightly. GWP resale values are estimates based on recent eBay sold listings for comparable Star Wars promotional sets. Retailer prices were checked on 22nd April 2026 and are subject to change.
